Cecil opens his Brighton house and studio throughout May 2019 during Brighton Festival to show around thirty new original oil paintings and watercolours.  Subjects include quiet backwaters and canals of Venice as well as images of sunlight blazing on an open Venetian lagoon. The sea at Brighton with its piers and bandstand,  and rivers, including the Thames at night also feature.  As usual, Cecil's focus is on sunlight and on painting atmosphere. His painting of Florence at sunset shows this on a large scale.  View a selection of the work now.
